我想问问，如你所说，西语裔成为美国第一大少数族裔，是不是因为这个原因，西班牙语成为了美国中小学的二外必修课程呢？比如加拿大的二外就是法语。

2014年，Clinical Infectious Diseases杂志上，马里兰大学的两位学者是持这个观点的。当然，一百多年前的事，只能猜测和推断，没法下定论。
